The group announced on Wednesday that Endeavor, a global sports and entertainment company, has created Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) and agreed to purchase nine minor league baseball teams.

After the transaction is completed, DBH will manage the following teams: Iowa Cubs (Chicago Cubs’ top three leagues); Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals’ three A leagues); Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders (New York Yankees’ Triple A League); Hudson Valley Renegades (a senior member of the New York Yankees); San Jose Giants (a single league member of the San Francisco Giants).

According to the approval process, DBH will also operate all four subsidiaries of the Atlanta Warriors: Gwinnett Stripers (a triple-A subsidiary of the Atlanta Warriors); the Mississippi Warriors (a double-A subsidiary of the Atlanta Warriors); and the Roma Warriors ( The high A team of the Atlanta Warriors); Augusta GreenJackets (a single A subsidiary of the Atlanta Warriors).

A source told The Athletic that the Endeavour is in contact with all major league clubs, including the most famous major league teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Yankees and Cubs. In its announcement on Wednesday, Endeavour stated that it is still in late-stage negotiations with "a handful of other important franchise rights."

The acquisition of Diamond Baseball Holding is the most important financial development since MLB reorganized MiLB in 2019, reducing the number of teams by 40, or 25%, and centralizing MLB control. MiLB is primarily a group of independent, hyper-localized companies-at least for now.

The MLB must approve any transfer of ownership of minor leagues.
