CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – For the first time in program history an Illinois women's golfer earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as senior Crystal Wang was named to the At-Large First-Team, the organization announced on Thursday (May 19).

Wang adds this distinguished honor to her list of accolades from her senior season as she was also an All-Big Ten First-Team selection – her third All-Big Ten honor of her career – and earned All-Championship Team honors after tying for sixth place at the 2022 Big Ten Championships. The Diamond Bar, Calif., native was also a finalist for the Big Ten Player of the Year after registering the second-best stroke average in the conference during the regular season.

Wang led the Illini with a 72.81 stroke average to go along with five top-10 finishes and eight top-15 finishes on the season and collected a pair of Big Ten Conference Women's Golfer of the Week honors in 2021-22.

Wang graduated last weekend with bachelor's degrees in information systems and operations management, earning High Honors with a 3.82 grade point average.
